Once again, ain my view, the out-of-control Napoleanic Bureacrat, SF's MTV Execuutive Director Steve Heminger is on the loose, unconstrained by any Democrat puppet in the Bay Area. We need to start some politics diversity to check this kind of, what I call, "bureacratic madman" of big regional government, devoid of the people's right to vote to protect their neighborhoods, cities, and quality of life.
Given the dependency of Democrat local officials on high-density developers campaign contributions,, "don't give a left=wing damn" government and construction labor unions, enviro-Socialists, and Lenin's "useful idiot" Democrat/Socialist/Progressive fools, such as one below, Casa will be difficult to stop, without political diversity.
The Casa project will only make our quality of life far worse and hurt people.Transit-Oriented Development doesn't work--it only makes livablity worse and pads the pockets of West-of I280 (low-density living) wealthy high-density developers who, in turn, pay off supportive largely Democrat politicians (and a few Republican political beggars). Think Palo Alto, Sa Jose, S.F. etc.
Heminger could not care less. Power is his thing. Heminger is behind "The Blob"-like growth of the MTC over individual cities and its residents preferences--and its growing usurpation of our quality of life, lack of highway lanes to deal with population growth, and punitive congestion pricing no-longer single occupant, now 2-person carpool charges per mile--irrespective of type of vehicle propulsion (ICE, EV, CNG, etc), and onerous Regional Measure 3.
Fortunately, Heminger, who is responsible for the MTC-endorsed poposal years back to move MTC headquaters from Oakland to the gridlocked SF and renovate a large building into a palace for $200Million in our extorted toll revenues that were/are desperately needed for road and transit improvements, is retiring in February 2019.
Heminger lives in SF and wanted to reduce HIS travel time, transit transfers (when used), and congestion that he refused to relieve! Heminger is, to me,an example of an out-of-control leftist, egotistical, power-mad, likely Socialist Democrat, bureaucrat supported by one party rule--Democrat thieves of our freedom and liberty, thus Casa..
